Rust Hackathon — Snake It 🐍🦀 Distributed Snake Challenge!

Rust Medellín is teaming up with Oxidar.org for a simultaneous two-city hackathon connecting Medellín and Buenos Aires. Participants will build a multiplayer version of the classic Snake game in Rust, focusing on networking logic, shared game state, tick synchronization, and real-time play from the client perspective. The event is open to all skill levels, whether you are just getting started with Rust or already an experienced Rustacean, and attendees are free to create their client however they like, from terminal-based interfaces to Bevy or SDL2. Hosted at Universidad EAFIT with support from Node EAFIT, TxPipe, and Input Output Global, the event includes snacks and has limited capacity for 40 people.
